Muhammad - after reading all the posts to date - you obviously posted knowing the response you would get and you got it. As I reading your original race post, I was wondering what would happen if you and the M5 had to turn or stop?
: The GS has a centrifugal supercharger from swift racing...
: Y2K ///M5 gets a big can of whoop A** from....
: Swift Racing a 1998 GS400SRi.
: It was saturday afternoon December 18th, 1999. Driving
: northbound Rt. 29 towards Baltimore near Briggs Chaney (lexlyf you know where I am talking about). Anyway I was cruising doing about 70 mph in the left lane and spotted a silver Y2K M5 can't mistake the quad exhaust tips and wide ///M wheels/tires. I pulled up right next to it and starred at the driver and quickly downshifted to third making the rev go up and the pleasant soounds of the SC air whooshing flare up. He smiled and it was a go. The traffic was light and I floored it right after he did, he had me by 1/2 car length to begin with (speed 85). The GS400SRi shifted to fourth and the boost was indicating 7 PSI at WOT, speed was building insanely fast and the ///M5 was falling behind @ 120, he was about 2 car lengths behind. Then the GS400SRi shifted to 5th and we are still building 7 PSI of boost, speed was terminal and the M5 was lagging about 7 car lengths behind smelling the GS400SRi's exhaust fumes and getting smoked. Then I noticed a traffic light turn red up ahead. I started to slow down and brake hard, the light was coming up pretty fast, the M5 caught up and was tailing me very close trying to slow down just as quickly. I was thinking OK we got him in the upper band of acceleration, how about the takeoff? My heartrate now off the charts from excitement. But the M5 got on the left turn only lane deciding that he had enough A** whooping for one day from theGS400SRi.
