Give them 80K and you will get a new MZ3 which can do the quarter mile in 13.2. That's MSRP on a new MZ3 + 37K to get a little faster that an M5. Seems expensive to me.
What's interesting that that they talk about producing 50 Factory Works M5's with 550-600hp. Sounds like their really getting into understanding and modifying most aspects of the car, at a large price tag of course. I'm sure some of the modifications add hp at almost no risk. But how about supercharging? What does this do to reliablity? I recently saw a Dinan badged M3 towed into Steven's Creek BMW and wondered what went wrong. What's the feeling on pumping up the hp to 600, and maintaining reasonable reliability? Has anyone supercharged their M5 yet?
