My brother traded his 540i for a Z06 on Friday. It's a pretty cool machine if you ignore the one piece plastic chevy door skins, weeble-wobble hood open/close procedure, and total lack of sound deadening material! I got to drive it from the dealership and I immediately tried to put up the already closed windows. Noise seems to come from everywhere.

Sound of the exhaust was good though. When you step on it, it just goes braaaaap! Much louder and deeper than M5, which was to be expected.

I immediately noticed the long shift throw in it compared to stock M5. It's gonna take him some practice to master that one, which gives me a chance in the simple drag races which will come soon. I'll let you know how it stacks up after he puts 1500 miles or so on it. In 2nd gear he and I nailed from 2000rpms to about 5000rpms, and for that brief instance, it was pulling away from the M5 slightly.

Dealer told him with a cold air induction kit, it turns 410hp on the dyno. We'll see...
