Sounds like everything is seated up properly in your engine. I THINK mine is almost there. I had a low of 275miles/qt. and am now at my high (700+ miles and still going). The car just turned 7k miles.

My car would usually flash the "check engine oil" reminder anywhere from 400-600 miles. The dealer said it's completely normal for this M engine until several thousand miles have been put on it.

He may be right after all. If I get to 1000/qt. I will stop keeping track of it. Right now I'm still on a mission to see what it's doing with all of it! No smoke & no leaks so I guess it likes synthetic...

Will your dealer just give you a couple of liters at time for topping off the oil? Mine insists that I have to visit them every time. It takes forever. I just buy the oil instead.
