I was amazed when I took delivery. If there is something to have an option to delete, it should be the rack mounts with the little slotted pieces which are sure to rust before the rest of the car.


All E39's have those flip up (plastic) flaps covering the bolts for the roof racks.

They won't rust.

And they work great - I use my racks often.
