As an owner of a Ducati 996(the newer, fuel-injected version of 916), I'd say that it's no f***ing way that your car, even if you put a 10000cc and a blower can beat a 996 in accelaration. Moreover, Ducati is well know more for its handling and not for its straight line accelaration. So, please don't waste our time by day dreaming here.
PS: factory claim for Duc 996 on 0-62mph is 2.9 s.
