Delete this post it's total bullshit. I have spoken with Steve at Ultimate Garage (US importer of all Movit kits) THe Ceramic brakes will not be available for use on other cars for quite some time. The only way to get a set is to order a 996 TT and then remove them however Porsche has told him that Movit has made certain modifications on these brakes sets so that removing them from a 996 TT would be ridicoulously expensive and not worth the hassle. There are some rumors floating around PCA that the ceramic brakes kit would cost around $12,000-$15,000 if imported to North America.

The Porsche ceramic brakes are still only street brakes and while good they will still come up short against racing brakes. I own a 1995 Ferrari 355 Challenge car with the same Brembo brakes used on the Ferrari 333SP which won the Dayton 24 hours and the Sebring 12 hours in 1998 and has also raced at LeMans and the American LeMAns Series. I can outbrake nearly any racing car know to man, except purpose built factory race cars. No way I could ever outbreak a Ducati or any other expensive sport bike.

And no fucking way any M5 with only 500hp (look at Nowack's M5)is going to clock 3.7 to 60's. Even if it had 600 hp it would be limited by loss of traction and still not get under 4.0 secs.

PS. No email from Mr. Challenge (typical). Sounds to me like some teenager who should be spending his time doing his homework. His post came from an @home server. I don't think they even have @home in Canada.
