I too, own a 1999 996 Monoposto as well as a 2000 Yamaha R1 and an FZR400 racebike (CCS GTU). Both of these bikes will destroy any car in a 0-60 race. However, 60-0 is another story because a bike's tires contact patch is about the size of a cellular phone (each wheel) whereas a car's contact patch is probably 2-3 times that size x 4 wheels.
