Took delivery of a 2001 M5 today in Northern NJ. It is very cool. It is Anthracite with Black exclusive interior, with the burl walnut. It is a great combo. The anthracite looks really good on the M5.

Some other initial observations: (1) The new headlights are very sharp. Makes the car look sort of angry. (2) The instruments are on a grey background and are amber at night, rather than red. (3) the nav screen is quite a bit larger and tilts to provide access to the cassette slot behind it. (4) The car feels much different than my '99 540/6 speed. Much smoother. It's like a totally different car. I'm very happy that I upgraded.

I got home too late to take pictures. I will post some tomorrow.
