I checked off the BMW USA site about European Delivery, and they didn't mention any of the M's being offered in this deal. Is it possible to get an M5 in Germany? I am going there next summer. Has anyone done this before? How long in advance do I need to prepare to get one? Thanks.

...but with some restrictions.

For other BMW models,

a) The Euro Delivery MSRP is 7% below the standard dealer-lot list.

b) Euro Delivery models do not come out of the dealer's allocation, so sometimes-hard-to-get models like 540is can be ordered to spec.

Neither of the above is true for the M5, at least as of March 2000. You still have to find a dealer who has a slot open when you want it, and the Euro Delivery MSRP is the same as the off-the-lot MSRP.

We ordered the car in 12/1999, was built in 3/2000, available for Euro Delivery in late April/early May. For reasons of spousal schedule we ended up pushing it back to early July.
