Used M5's can be sold for more than $10k above MSRP! I am talking from actual experince. I never would have believed it, but it happens that way here.

No one knows for sure but my educated guess is 2002 is likely the last year for the E39 M5. The 5 series is due for replacement in 2003 & the next M5 will not be out for at least 2 years after that. Dealers on the east coast have build dates coming up with no orders. The wait is 3-4 months at MSRP.

A word of advice. This is not a decision you toy with. This car will depreciate just like any other. If you commit & find that you don't like it
it's going to cost you some $.

Otherwise go 4 it!
