I still rememeber when i came under fire when i said i hit 185 mp/h. Everyone thought that i was full of it and whatever. But if go to the messageboard on the www.bmwm5.com web site, there is a conversation about top speed. One of the owners who took off his top speed limiter hit 310 km/h = 194 mp/h. I beleive him becuase when i hit 185, the car was still pushing. If you have doubht, there is a website full speedometers clocked at their top speed, i forgot the name of the website. I will post it when i get it soon. Cars from Brabus v12 and the mighty M5 to slower cars. Guess what the speedomtere on the M5 was showing!!!! the neddle was way passed 300 km/h 185 mp/h.
P.S I never said that the speedometer was accurate. All gauages in the world have some % of error. The only difference is by how much !
