Does anyone have any experience with this new 2001 option? I did search the database and saw some mention of it, but would appreciate detailed, audiophile-oriented comments. Thanks.

I took delivery 3 weeks ago. I included this option at the time of order although I had no idea what it was or what the price was. It's worth the 900 bucks! I am not a tecno type audiophile but I think I have owned enough high end auto systems to comment. There have already been posts on this board about what the upgrade consists of, including a description by bmwna marketing type. E mail me if you want specs on what it consists of. I can only tell you that it sounds incredible compared to the standard system and gives almost unlimited multiple equalizer adjustment via operations available on the new nav screen. You can tweak this thing to sound exactly the way you want it! The most amazing thing is the size of the rear speakers, I would estimate 14 to 16 inches in diameter and they hang down into the trunk about 3 to 4 inches, actually taking up some space if you loaded trunk to top. I now get as many oohs and ahhs opening the trunk as I do the hood!
