This wouldn't happen to be your Supra...would it?

That's Bryce's supra -- he used a large single turbo and cams to get into the high 600 RWHP range, and probably did the usual headwork + piston changes to get to 800 RWHP. My car was completely stock inside the engine, and made 619 RWHP.

[...]My sister lives up in Palo Alto, so I'm sometimes in the Bay Area. Would love to help you break in your 550 hp M5, although I plan on breaking the magic 500 hp barrier myself also. Within the next few months I'll be adding more boost, stronger rods, better low-comp pistons, porting the head, and a [bunch] of tuning.

A 500 HP E46, eh? You'll find that traction becomes the limiting factor as you get into those power ranges -- be sure to include plans to add much larger rear wheels, or drive around on slicks all the time :) Having been through this drill once before, I'd recommend shooting for lower top-end HP in exchange for better midrange torque, unless you intend this car to be primarily a track vehicle.

The drag race I'm really looking forward to is supercharged M5 vs [nearly-stock] Viper RT/10. The Viper has a 500-lb weight advantage, while the supercharged M5 will have a substantial horsepower advantage. We shall see...

How good are you at chess anyways...hehe:)

USCF 2000, back when I was active. Haven't had time to play in years -- the demands of family life and all.

Cheers,
Ben
