What you said is true for a turbo, but not a supercharger. I have a RMS supercharger kit, not a turbo. The reason why I asked, was because RMS currently has a M roadster putting down 550 HP with the same setup I have now, minus the stroke to 3.5L. Since I am currently anywhere between 400-415 HP [I recently added headers and a better intake manifold], I'm estimating that with a compression of 8:1 allowing me to boost 1-1.2 bar, a ported and polished head raising my rev limit to about 7,000-7,500, and better engine management, I should be within easy reach of 480-500 HP [don't you think?]. That's the beauty of the supercharger. Since it is run off the crank and not exhaust pressure, boost is on tap at any point during the RPM range and goes up by the square of crank rotation. All that you need is the right pulley that will balance the impeller rotation so that you're not creating boost at idle and not overboosting at redline.

I'm not an expert on supercharing nor turbocharging. What I know is simply what I've picked up from doing this as a hobby, so I could be wrong on certain issues.
