The '01's are coming in folks. Last month 244 M5's were delivered to customers vs 20 in the year ago period (which does'nt count since the real deliveries began in November '99)
The running total is now 3,118 E39 M5's on U.S. Roads (+ or - the departed) ... wow!

Oh... the other bimmers are selling very well thank you. Apparently lots of people have discovered what we already knew. BMW's can dance. The automotive equivalent of Fred Astaire if you will.

BMW Reports 31 Percent Increase in October Sales; Year-to-date Sales Increase By 18 Percent

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- BMW of North America, Inc. reported an increase of 31 percent in October sales, for a total of 15,895 vehicles compared to 12,146 sold a year ago. BMW also reported year-to-date sales of 151,152, an increase of 18 percent over the 128,454 sold in the first ten months of 1999.


Automobile sales

Automobile sales increased 3 percent year-to-date, to 132,095 compared to 128,454 in 1999. BMW reported monthly automobile sales of 12,367 in October, compared to 12,146 a year ago.


Sports Activity Vehicle Sales

The company also reported October Sports Activity Vehicle sales of 3,528, an increase of 13 percent over September sales. Year-to-date, BMW reported SAV sales of 19,057. The BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle went on sale in December 1999 and is now sold at 315 authorized BMW SAV centers nationwide. Certified Pre-owned Vehicle Sales

Certified Pre-owned (CPO) vehicle sales were strong again in October, as BMW reported sales of 3,424, up 18 percent over last year. Year-to-date, sales of CPO BMWs have increased 63 percent to 23,483.
