Man, is it just me or are you running just a little too hot on this "issue"?

Which oil to use? Both are synthetic fluids. 5-30 or 10-60??

First off,

1. Why not find out from an "expert" their feelings the difference it's going to make (if any) and consequential effects to the engine? When could a viscosity difference like this show up as an engine problem? 50k miles, 150k, or more???

2. What would that problem turn out to be?

3. How long do you keep your car? (or are you "looking out" for others down the road?

4. How about haveing the service guy just write it down in his writing and you file it somewhere.

Maybe it's just me, but your remedy to this "problem" is the same reason one asprin cost $20 in a hospital.

I can only assume your profession, you have alot of time on your hands, or you see BMW as a large cash cow and/or you know a liberal judge.

How about holding off on this "important lawsuit"
until I can buy my SMG equipped M5 in a couple years? I just can't afford the car and your class action suit.
