If you've seen carbon fiber and how it's made, it's similar to fiberglass. It's strips of material that get cut into shapes and patterns. They then have another "substrate" applied to that matrial. Those pieces are then cured in a "kilm" (very hot oven chamber), with a certain amount of pressure for several hours. I don't think it's a bendable product at all when it's done.
