Dear all
Is there any of you have done a facelift from a 530i(or 528i) front bumper to a new 2000 M5 front bumper? Will it only be a straightforward swap or need some modifications? What about rear bumper? Ordinary 5's have a single driver side exhaust but a M5 have a dual? Need some advices on these questions...

First off, you're going to get a lot of people throwing rocks at you for wanting to do this.

Frankly, I don't understand why anyone would want to anyway, IMO (and we've got one of each) the M5 ends are less attractive than the standard 5er.

The M5 front bumper does seem slightly less prone to underside damage than our 540i, though.

I don't have any real answers to your question, BMW sells (at least in Europe) a kit to put M-look ends on a standard 5. This of course does not get you four pipes in back, the only way you'd do that with anything close to OEM is to cut the floor out of your trunk (the M5 has a trunkfull of mufflers, in case you've never looked.)
