The M5 has big tires - so it can certainly hydroplane. It will come with either Michelins or Dunlops. The Michelins are slightly better in the wet. You'll be surprised at how well it does, though. Wet braking, in particular, is phenomenal. And as long as you leave DSC on (and you should) if the car begins to slide, DSC will correct it. Now if you come in too hot, DSC can't make the car turn sharper than the laws of physics will allow. But once you're stablized on the cloverleaf, (if you have the guts) put your foot to the floor and steer. The DSC will keep the car in line. It is amazing. Now - if you find black ice after being on the wet at the max you can get, all bets are off...
