I have a 2000 E55. Have on order an M5 for April delivery. The E55, in everyday real life driving will probably beat the M5 everytime 0 to 60 due to the ease in maximizing its performance from an automatic gearbox. Handling on a race track is another matter, but honestly, how many of us are going to take their super sedans to the race track, and how often?
Both cars are great with different characters.
