I have a 1999 M3 right now. The new M3 should be quite a bit faster, but also a bit heavier. Just like the new generation M5, the new M3 will move more towards GT then sports car, not that I am complaining. I like mixing in more luxury to my sports cars. (Case in point--Bought a Z06, kept it for 24 hours and sold it. It may be fast and generate a huge number on the skidpad, but it rattles, is very noisy, shifts terrible and rides like there is no suspension.) Like I said before, I don't take my cars to the track, so track performance is irrelevant to me. I would rather have great real-life performance and comfort.
