I think we all agree the M5 should have the edge over the E55 on the track and possibly on the Autobahn. I missed that article in a European car magazine where they tested the E55 and the M5 with the speed limiter off at 170 mph+?

However, I must say, for daily driving at <100 mph, the E55 is hard to beat.

I think the E55 is much more user friendly and civilized than the Camero SS and Mustrang Cobra.

Came across with an article where they compared the M5 and E55 up to 160km/h where the M5 was 0.4 second faster, from 0-400 metres, both cars got there in 13.8 seconds:
