I wish it was as simple as machining the surface of the hub. Unfortunately, the problem is with the bearings in the hub and the runout tends to get worse with age and load/heat. The only fix is to replace the bearing.

Also, the rotors I sell are trued by me to .025mm (.001") runout. The rotor is rotated 180 degrees on the lathe and rechecked for runout to confirm that the equipment is in spec. Earlier this year, I checked the runout on a customer's 540 with brand new bearings. The runout of the new Movit rotor on the new hub went from .025mm to .06mm....still in spec but I was surprised how poor the new bearing was to contribute to this difference.

Rotors brought in grey market (ie, from Heinz or Movit directly) do not come with a certified runout posted to the inside of the hub assembly.
