Let me guess... they hooked it up to the computer and it said there was an ignition problem, so they replaced the DME... genius at work.

I can't tell you what's wrong with your car but I can tell you these events are all too familiar. First they do the DME. Then they do the plug wires. Then the plugs. Finally some where along the way they'll replace the ignition and injection modules, maybe the air mass sensor. All the while, they could have tested each part for abnormal resistance with nothing more than a multimeter. But monkey see monkey do, they'll keep replacing parts until they find the right one.
