Has anyone thought of opening up the M5's intake? (archive)

Hello,
I was just saying that the M5 needs more intake. Has anyone ever thought of using a dual cone pickup at each inlet? You know, the one like the C5 vette uses on each inlet Pass/driver. Do you think that it would work? I was thinking of putting one on my 3.2l engine. Would this be too much?
