The new AMG line will be supercharged and the first one is the E-class, then the CLK, S-class, and a new SL-class !
The 5.5l V8 compression ratio will be dropped under 10:1 maybe even under 9:1 and they will be using the supercharger with intercooler to bring it up to the mighty M5 level. performance figures are around 435-465HP depend on the applications.
But other source said the first supercharged will be the 320 series and the 320 is making 300HP with a supercharger.
I dunno, I wanna see them and test them that's for sure. BMW still is superior if you think, they have a 5.0l no blower and 400HP easily ! The M5 engine could make 445HP w/o a blower !
Also the 3.2l M3 engine makes 343 in europe, thats more then 100HP/liter w/o a blower ! Only Honda did better (on paper at least) with a S2000, 120HP/liter... but they sacfrificed the torque big time !

so long living M5's are the winners !
