My guess, heated seats, DSC (dynamic stability control), Sport mode(more responsive throttle), another maybe rear sunshade
While shopping today at my BMW dealer for a 540 touring, I noticed a new M5 in the back lot. It appeared to have a considerably greater number of small rectangular control buttons on the center console, just above the cupholders, than the 540's did.

It appeared from the outside (the car was locked) that there were two buttons on each side with a pictogram that looked like a seat, a few buttons with 3 letter acronyms, and a button labelled "sport".

Can some kind 2001 M5 owner tell me exactly what function these buttons serve? (going from left to right).

Are any of these controls exclusive to the M5, or are they available as options on the 540 wagon?

Many thanks in advance.
