Go to GT International in West LA. SM BMW is the absolute worst.
On my M3, they reset my service lights during an intermediate oil change that I paid for, throwing off the "free" service intervals. As I expected, they didn't want to do the Inspection II that was due right before the 36,000 free maintenace expired, because the dash said it wasn't time. When I pointed out that they caused it, I was blackmailed into giving them an "excellent" rating when BMW NA called in order to get the free service that I was entitled to. Unfortunately, when BMW NA called, I couldn't take the call. They never called back so that I could tell them what happened.
On my 535i, they replaced an old radiator hose (wasn't leaking, just old). Immediately it started leaking...they cracked the (admittedly cheap) plastic radiator where the hose attaches to it. They wouldn't replace the radiator. They generously offered to charge me "their cost" to FIX (??) the thing...apparently they farm out their radiator work to some greasy shop in Venice, then charge customers BMW labor rates. I didn't accept the offer.
On my 325iC, they wouldn't replace a battery (car only 14 months old) because "the wrong size battery" was in the car. It was the battery the car came with. It was almost closing time on a Friday when I picked the car up, and after making a scene, they finally agreed to give me a new battery. But I would have to reschedule to have it installed, or leave it for the weekend and maybe Monday. I just opened up the tool kit and did it myself in front of the shop on 20th St.
I could go on...
I get all of my servicing done at GT International in West LA.
