Brake dust is definitely pervasive on the M5. Here's what I do once a week to keep them looking good. Spray them with ArmorAll's QuickSilverII wheel cleaner, and then use a long handled, soft-bristled brush. Only takes about a minute per wheel to keep them looking like new. If you let that dust sit too long, it'll "bakd on" and get harder to clean. I have a small "nook and cranny" brush I use to get into some of the real small openings.
