But the product is STILL only available via phone or the net. I consider ANY end-user product which is solely available via the net to be something less than reputable. I own two K40s today ONLY because there are no local dealers for V1 or now the Escort 8500. I guess I'll be putting a K40 in the new M5 as well. I *WANT* a better detector but I will not puchase anything not available in stores. I want to walk into the store, lay my plastic down, and then walk out.


The arrow display and bogey counter has saved me countless times and no other manufacturer uses them. I can't tell you how many times a cop has been coming from behind or there have been 2 cops close to each other. The detection range is still great, even if not the best anymore.
