it looks like the M3 will get the SMG II (SMG 2nd generation) in the rest of the world for sure (appears it will be standard on Australian M3s according to reports from Down Under)....it also appears the US might get it on the M3 6 months to a year later (other reports indicate it might be in the US as early as this fall, but it is unclear). I have heard NOTHING about the M5 getting SMG. I really doubt the M5 will get it, but since the M3 uses the same manual tranny, it is possible.
