I know how you feel and it's not uncommon in many areas of the US too. When a dealer takes a deposit and tells you "your on the list", where exactly are you? Many dealers will promise a certain time range (should be in March or April), and then jockey your spot around for those willing to pay more $$$. Even after you have picked your colors, did you see him enter it in the computer or get any sort of confirmation receipt? Of course not, it's on a notepad that then sits "out of the system" until you scream loud, or the market softens enough to put it in production.

Sorry to say, your dealer is no different than many in the US.

I put in my order for an M5 late Dec., Early January and have been waiting for it's delivery which is at the end of this month (Feb), just got word from the dealer that my car will be here, but it wasn't the one I had ordered. #$!#!!! I was taken for a ride!

I got a tell ya the dealer Parkshore BMW in North Vancouver, Canada was already playing games right from the get go... I would email the sales rep for any type of information and or confirmation of my order and nothing, I had to badger these idiots so that I could give them my money. On top of that I've been with this dealer for 2 years now. I've got a 540i 6sp from them. If anyone out there is thinking of using this dealer, think again.

ARRRGH!
