I live in virginia too. The only detectors that are invisibvle to the police VG-2 system is the Valentine 1, and passport 8050. The V1 is still the best detector on the market. I hard wired my V1 to the sunvisor. It is pretty hard to see the detector from outside the car. It simply looks like a garage door opener. Most places in VA will not deal, or install detectors. I wired it myself. It takes about 10-15 minutes.
