I finally drove a M5 today. It was a 2000 with 4900 miles. I didn't buy it because the dealer was asking $75k and I've seen tons of them for under $70. This car is as perfect as perfect gets. It was silver with black luxury interior. The leather everywhere is a very nice touch indeed. The wood trim is the most beautiful I've ever seen in any car. The car is nice and quiet for cruising, but sings well when you stomp on it. And make sure if you stomp on it, the DSC is on. I turned it off and turned right on to another road at an intersection, didn't pop the clutch, and didn't floor it, but I still got ass-sideways and left plenty of dead Dunlop (I guess that's what it had) bits on the road behind me. And once when I stomped it in 2nd, again not full throttle even, it revved, then baubled then revved to redline. I wondered, what did my foot slip off? Then I looked down and the DSC light was going nuts! This car has amazing power! I am convinced this is the best car in the world.
