The dealer I spoke with also said that I would need to put a 1k deposit down. How can I get on more than one dealer's waiting list if I have to do this for each one?

In the northeast you can order a car now and have it for April at MSRP. They are available with no problems at all. Since Wall Street is in the tank a lot of traders aren't buying right now.

I know what you mean. They all want the deposit to weed out the strokers. Same thing when I was put on the list for my M3 coupe and cab. The dealer I deal with is very good and reliable. When I bought my M5 last April I had the car in June with my choice of options and colors. I will have my M3 coupe in June and the cab in August.
