Q. for Canada readers re Radar Detectors (archive)

How bad is it in Canada re the local police using radar detector detectors? Is it high on their priorty list of things to get from motorists? Do they take it if found? What is the fine? I have a build-in detector [that is NOT detector proof] in one car, but have a V-1 in the other car that could be used [it is supposed to be detector proof- but would be visible on the dash].

I am going to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island this summer. Any help would be appreciated.
