1) I'm also 6'4" I'm comfortable with the seat back reclined pretty far, the front lip of the seat bottom up a little & the wheel low in my lap.

2)Do it once then ignore it - That works great for me

3) There is a very good automatic car wash near me that I have taken more expenxive cars through.
The M5 has been through about 6 times with no problems what so ever. I'm sticking with it.
