That is my take on the matter. The ordinance concerned kids using what I assume are blue bulbs or blue lenses and the "citizens" have been confusing them for the blue lights used by cops and emergency vehicles. Therefore, I view the law as one attacking the modifications and not legitimate oem equipment.

Whatever the case, I can't wait until Cleavis or Jughead from the local police decides to give me a citation.


in your case, if the city you were in did indeed pass local measures against kids or whomever modifying their vehicles, then you should be competely safe and even a hardcase judge will not be able to make the case stick because the sticking point will be "modification". so long as you can reasonable prove your vechicle was factory stock, the case would have to be dismissed.
