M5 transmission is not the same as the 540.
I have close to 19,000 (hard) miles on my M5 so far (others have more) and no clutch problems. Most of my driving is in city traffic with a few trips up North to track events like Oktoberfest.
If this guy wants to give up his vehicle because of bad service that's one thing. But to say it's nothing more than a souped up 540? Puulleesee!
They're different animals altogether. Can a 540 be made faster than an M5? Yes. I'll not argue that point. But you'll have a vehicle with a lot more service problems than the M5 out of the box.
Is this the real Jimmy? Seems the one I've corresponded with had a lot more class than this.Mark
