They "said" that there was some type of leak, and that oil had fouled the clutch plate. The dealer fixed it, no questions asked. Whether they "said" that to appease me, or whether the clutch wore out, I can't really say. They did fix it though. Just not sure whether it was paid for by BMW, or by the dealer out of their goodwill fund. This is TOO common. There should be a recall.
