The statement noted that the board of directors decided last year to make the change. And it definatlely will be in 2002.

The shape was described as "cuvaceous" with squinty headlamp and turn signal units with a rear end "that differs entirely from the 3 and 7 series.

2005 was the year we should be expecting an all new 3-series sedan.
