I saw a new M3 at my dealership the other day and I noticed the air scoops directly next to the fog lights were functional brake cooling ducts (just like on the old M3). Does anyone know why BMW didn't do the same for the M5, a much larger car with front brakes that can generate more heat than the lighter M3? I know some early European M5 prototypes had functional brake cooling scoops (especially since we don't get the cooler running compound brake disks like Euro M5s).
