Hi all, i am new to this board, i drive an M Coupe and i don't know jack about the 5er or the M5. So i am here to ask for help because i am thinking to get a 5er or M5. Anyway, my dad wants to trade in the current MB S320 to a new car, as our family car, and he lets me decide which car to change to. My family has 4 people, none of us weights more than 160lbs, so i guess a 5er a quite a suitable car, a 7er is probably too big and we don't enjoy driving a big car.

I heard that the new 5er is rolling out some time next year, is that true?

How does the 5er control on curvy roads? Does the M5 control much better than an ordinary 5er? Does the car "feel" heavy when you brake?

Lastly, what is the normal time lag between a new 5er in production AND the M5's? I think the new M5 won't come out at the same time as the 530, 540 etc right?

Thanks for your help in advance~!
