because there isn't room for the mechanisms (the side window shades in particular) with the extra thickness of the leather.



OK, I looked through the archives and understand the difference now between full and extended leather. I also understand that you can only get the sunshade with extended leather.

Well, why? That seems like saying you can only get cupholders with Carbon Black cars.
