We were told at the M5 experience in Spartanberg that this is actually electroplated silver and only the OEM supplier in Italy can duplicate. Since then I have heard (check archives) that some aftermarket platers have been able to copy the "look".

Hi all,

I'm thinking about painting my wheels, since I've gotten some scratches that I want repaired anyway. I'm thinking about the paint they use on the M5 wheels, the bright satin color. Does anyone have the paint #, and where can I get it (dealer)? I assume it's some metallic paint from PPG or
something. Can anyone suggest a similar paint color that's
available? I'm thinking about taking them to Trans
Wheel, near Chicago. Any comments on them? Thanks.
