p.s. Just messed with Karma again. Ordered the 3.45 rear end. I now can officially not afford the new clutch. (Time for it to go out!)

I must have picked up Mark's karma for this week -- my clutch gave up the ghost this evening, with a horrible burnt-brake smell which still lingers two hours after parking the car. I've driven plenty of stick-shift cars over the years, and this is a first. It's pretty clearly a design problem.
For those who have already had this problem -- what was your experience getting BMW to pick up the tab for the repair? Any special incantation necessary (like a TSB #)?
Thanks,
