If any one is interested in an almost new 2001 see the end of this note. Re the 2002's, I have been waiting to order a 2001 for a bit now and expected to place this order last month for a june build date, but the month came and went. The area rep indicated today why. Production on the 2001 ends apparently is anticipated to end in mid-june and no new 2001 orders are being taken. The 2002 models are said to begin production in July with first deliveries in mid to late august. There are no announcements yet re model changes (should have this in about 3 weeks). Re 2001 M5....my dealer is putting on the showroom floor a low mileage (5K) like new 2001....Titanium exterior over Silversone/Black Sport interior fully optioned unit....extended bass,park distance control,sunscreens etc. I believe they will be asking just a few hundred over list but no luxury tax so this is significantly under list for someone who wants no wait on a new 2001. If interested, my bet is that this will not last long...can call my sales person (Jamie 919-730-8831). This is in NC.


This appears to be a very good arrangement if the car is in as new condition and fully warranted. Where in NC?
