rally. There were 41 cars registered. I did not count, but I think we were in the mid-30s of the cars that did show up. The most marque were BMWs, then Porsches and a VW.

There was a very nice BMW 3.0 CS (coupe). Sweet.
There was a 1972 911T with twin weber carbs. Man it can move.

A TON of M3, no new ones.

There was a BRAND NEW BMW M5, MAN CAN THAT THING HAUL!!!!

Of course there were three Z3 roadsters - - YEHAW!!! (1-MZ3 & 2-Z3s).

OH yea, there were 2 Acura Integra Type-R's at the rally too.

No Boxsters or Audii's, there loss.

There were people from VA, NC, IL (yes IL), & SC. A great mix. The Rally started in Raleigh and ended in Boone NC. The weather was Ok though out the day, except when we were in Boone and was about to go on the back roads. The rain started. So in the intrest of safety, we all headed to home. Which was fun too. Man that M5 would pass everyone like we were standing still, did I mention that that M5 can HAUL SERIOUS BUTT!!!!!

I want a 400hp V8, I want, I want....

Any ways, the trip in all was great for getting together in so short notice. I hope next year, when we do this again, we will have MAPS/Directions for the fun drive in the mountains. There is a website of pics (unknown if they have posted yet).

DTM Power

So for the people that have German made cars and did not attempt to come, your loss, hope to see you there next year. Who knows, we might try a wider state road rally, multi-state rally, who knows.

Regards - - Nathan =:o
