Put a good coat of BMW Carnauba wax, buff it to a shine (rims look even nicer!) when brake dust builds up, just take a high pressure hose and almost all dust washes off, remaining I just use the standard soap/sponge combo. Needs to be rewaxed every other wash imho.
I guess it has to do with low friction of the wax when applied and buffed, you will also notice less buildup bc a good percentage just flies off....
